"I was frankly a little terrified that it would hurt as I'm such a wimp but it was so easy. How often can you say you enjoyed a trip to the dentist? The zoom treatment was a breeze and with episodes of Sex and the City and a paraffin hand treatment thrown in, I felt like I was at a spa.
Dr Okoye and her team are fantastic"

Your smile is a big part of the image you reflect - it is noticed before you even speak a word! Whiter teeth make us look healthier, younger and more vibrant.
What is it and what does it do?
Laser or "Power" Whitening
Laser whitening lightens the teeth using a photosensitive gel, which is painted onto the teeth and then activated by light. The whole process takes about one hour.
Home Whitening
A custom-made mouth guard is provided into which you add a small amount of whitening gel. This is worn overnight and after one to two weeks, your teeth will gradually lighten. The home kit can also be used to give even more whitening after "power" whitening if required.
Is it safe?
Both treatments are completely safe but can only be prescribed by a professional.
Does it hurt?
Most people find the procedure painless, however some people may experience tooth sensitivity to hot and cold, or mild gum irritation after the procedure has taken place. This is a temporary effect that could last between 24 to 48 hours after the procedure takes place.
Does it work?
Professional tooth whitening will lighten stained teeth usually due to coffee tea and red wine, remove cigarette and tobacco stains and correct yellowing teeth due to aging.
How long does it take?
Power whitening takes about one hour. At-Home whitening takes about two weeks.
How long does it last?
The procedure lasts two to five years depending on your dietary habits. Whitening is very easy to top up and maintain.
Who has had it done?
Besides the thousands of procedures performed every month in the UK on a broad range of people including lawyers, receptionists, salespeople and housewives, many celebrities and media personalities including Paula Abdul, Suzanne Collins, and Keira Knightley have had teeth whitening.
